Lillicrap Chilcott Ian Lillicrap

Ian Lillicrap

Chairman
Ian moved to Cornwall from Leicestershire in 1979, having decided, before his tenth birthday, that he was going to be a Truro-based estate agent…… and as a small boy, on holiday in Cornwall, even correctly predicted the building which would be his future place of work.

Educated at Loughborough Grammar School, Ian gained a place at Oxford University to study Law. However, nothing was ever going to get in the way of estate agency. After 21 years as a salaried Partner / Director of the Cornwall subsidiary of an estate agency Plc , Ian co-founded Lillicrap Chilcott in 2001.

With over 40 years experience in Cornwall, Ian’s property and county knowledge are unrivalled. Whilst Ian has handled many of the most interesting and notable residential property transactions the county has seen over the years, he is, and has always been, passionate that the firm is here for absolutely everyone - whether selling a dilapidated hut or a country estate, waterside house or a three-bed semi.

Living by the Helford River, Ian spends his spare time in Leicestershire and in Edinburgh where he also has a home. He has a passion for art, design, architecture, classic cars, and music and has personally been a big supporter of Children in Need and The Landmark Trust.
